Walking drunk guys home

Chiliquiles!

Throwing up so flan and still smiling

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had such a great week!  We did here!

Since we have been able to contact in the streets we've been talking with SO many people and it is so fun!  It is so amazing how ready people are to hear about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ!  I always love it when people say, "I feel so much peace when I talk to you guys."  I love the people of Oaxaca so much!

We have a few pretty funny experiences this week.  We started talking to this one old guy and he was drunk and lost.  He didn't know how to get home so we started to walk him home.  Well, let's just say drunk old guys don't walk the best so he was holding my hand the entire time😂  He thought we were best friends in all the world and he would be laughing and saying stuff and I wouldn't understand a thing so I would just laugh and walk with him.  It was quite a party😂  When we finally got to the neighborhood he lived in we asked some people where he lived and they just said more up the mountain.  Everyone we talked to just said he lived higher up.  TURNS OUT this guy literally lived on the very top of the mountain, literally the highest you could go.  So once we finally got him home we had to hurry back to our house because it was getting late.  We asked some people what was the fastest way and they showed us and just said, "Be careful there are a lot of dogs."  So as we were running a pack of dogs chased us but we did make it home and everything was cool hahah.

I'm not a fan of the flan... So we have been going all around Salina Cruz to visit and help people.  We visited this one family and they gave us flan.  We ate it real quick because we had to go and then after that we contacted a few people.  As we were walking I told Elder Medina that I didn't feel to good.  We hurried back to the church and I through up the flan 😳 but after that I felt better and we got back to work haha.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary.  I see miracles every day,  I can see the atonement of Jesus Christ changing my life and the life of those I love so much.  I truly do stand all amazed at the love Jesus has for me.  We are all so truly blessed to have such a loving Savior, Redeemer, and Brother. I love him!

Hey Everyone!  This email is going to be short but I wanted to share a few things that happened this week!

They split our area so I'm with a new Elder!  (Well, new to the mission.  He was reassigned in Texas for 14 months)  He is super awesome and his name is Elder Medina.  I still see Elder Pano everyday though so that's super nice!

Our new house is a little iffy but It has its charm haha.  We don't have a mirror so we use the reflection of the microwave hahaha.

I would just like to share that I know with all my heart that Christ is pushing with us through all of our trials.  We just have to accept him and he will be there!  I love him!

Zone Conference

HOLA AMIGOS, listen up, so this was a really awesome week so I've got stories of Nacho Libre, Spanish, and Aliens. I've also got lots of photos so get ready 😎

Ok for those of you who don't know what Lucha Libre is, it's the wrestling they do in Nacho Libre with the masks and stuff.  (If you haven't seen nacho Libre go watch it because it was filmed in Oaxaca, AKA the best place on earth)

OK so this week we had a conference with a lot of missionaries celebrating Mexican Independence Day and it was so much fun!  There was a talent show so we had to think of something to do.  We found some luchador masks in the market and after that everything fell into place perfectly.  We decided to do a Lucha libre act with tons of nacho Libre references of course and I'm not going to lie, it was pretty epic😎  If you want the video send me a message haha.

The conference was a ton of fun because I was able to meet a ton of new people and make friends and all of it was in Spanish!  It still kinda shocks me that I understand Spanish haha.  Like I'll be listening to a story and I'll be like wow that was all in Spanish haha.  The gift of tongues is real!  It definitely feels nice to be myself and to be able to make friends like I did before the mission!

I absolutely love teaching people!  We have found some of the coolest people this week and it is such a blessing to be able to share the gospel with them!  It is such an amazing experience to see the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ change peoples lives!  We are teaching this one guy and he is like 65 and he told us that people always call him a Mormon because he talks with us.  But he said that's alright I like it because you guys are cool hahah he's the best!

Also this morning we were cleaning and we found the creepiest thing ever.  It was like a mix between a spider and a crab and it was giant.  We are 85% sure that it was an alien.  We both had no clue what it is so if we find more i'll let you know.  Some other cool things that happened are, I got the covid vaccine, It rained a ton, And I think I might be getting transferred! (Kinda)

Soy Mexicano

Dragon Fruit!

Last picture of old District

Hola amigos y familia!  I hope you are all doing well!

A lot of people were transferred this week and Salina Cruz is kinda the middle point so we had a lot of different missionaries traveling through and stuff so that was a lot of fun!

There is a new area in our district so there are two new Elders! One only has about a month in Oaxaca because he was in a different mission waiting for his Visa and his companion is a brand new missionary.  So in our chapel there are 5 Americans and 1 Mexican which is my Companion Elder Pano.  BUT, TURNS OUT I'm not a big fan of English anymore.  I know weird right?  I got so used to speaking Spanish with Elder Pano that I like it more now.  I'm not super good at Spanish or anything but it's fun hahaha.  I joke with people that I'm from Chiapas which is a state of Mexico and we all make fun of Americans together it's a lot of fun 😂

Even though sadly I'm not Mexican:(  my blue eyes and white hair stick out quite a bit. Older  Ladies always like to say how they want my eyes and hair so that's always fun 😂

We have seen so many miracles this week!  We are teaching a ton and it is so special to see the gospel change people's lives!  Being a missionary is the best!
