Trust in the Lord

Pumas soccer fans!

Saying goodbye to Elder Clark and Elder Pano

Elder Kennedy and Elder Lacey

Hola Amigos y Familia!

This week has been so great and I have learned so much!!

So Elder Pano got transferred so I went with him on Tuesday to visit some members and that was a ton of fun!  We also got some soccer jerseys to support our team the Pumas😎  (I don't know anything about soccer but this cool family likes them so now they're my team haha)

I got my new companion on Wednesday and he's a stud!!  His name is Elder Kennedy and he's from Arizona!  He was reassigned in California and didn't speak a ton of Spanish so I'm teaching him Spanish!  But to be honest he's super honest and already knows a ton and is learning more really fast!

Speaking of that I've had to use my Spanish a lot more in teaching this week!  I was pretty nervous but somehow it all works out fine hahah.  The Lord really does provide when we trust in him!  I will be teaching and I have no clue how I'm understanding this guy or how I'm responding to him but somehow I can and it's a miracle!  I've learned that we can always trust in the Lord and he will always be there for us!

The thing that we need to learn how to do in this life, is live in a way that the Lord can put his trust in us!  So I would like to invite you all to start giving all of yourselves to the Lord and trust in him and then live worthy of his trust.  I promise as you start doing things you should be doing and stop doing the things you shouldn't be doing you will find so much joy in your life.  I am so grateful for our Savior, Reedemer, and friend Jesus Christ for this opportunity we have to grow and be better and find joy!  I truly do stand all amazed!

Also another thing we did this week was some service in the mountains.  We had to move this big rocks up a hill and then down a path in wheelbarrow and let me tell ya we were EXHAUSTED.  It was so hot but it was also so fun and we loved it!

Salina Cruz

Goodbye brunch for Elder Workman
Elder Workman

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing well!

OK well let me tell you about the amazing week long adventures of Elder Chávez and Elder Lacey.  Only a week long because we have transfers again.  Well I don't, Elder Chávez does.  So I'm staying here in Salina Cruz for another 6 weeks!  I'm actually so excited though because I love the people here so much so I'm so happy!  It's a bummer that Elder Chávez isn't staying though because he is so awesome!  This week was so much fun.  It consisted of very hot days of hills and getting lost in the mountains but it was a blast!

So we were trying to find this house and we got a little lost but we found a super pretty view so we made sure to take a lot of pictures haha.

Also since we have walked a ton this week I have gained the habit of laying down on our concrete floor because it's cooler and I'm not going to lie it's pretty comfortable 😂

Today we are saying by to Elder Workman because he finishes his mission this week so we went to a brunch and it was a ton of fun!

This week was also so awesome because my testimony has been growing so much of our Savior!  It is truly so incredible that he loves us so much.  I promise you that he knows you and loves you so much!

Churros

Elder Rodríguez's Birthday

Patrick the Tree

Pancakes before General Conference!

Hola amigos!  This week was absolutely incredible!

Wow I don't even know where to start, we got a call last night that some new missionary are coming in so there are some changes so I'm getting a new companion today.  Elder Medina is going to go to a different area and it is getting a new companion as well.  It's a bummer because Elder Medina is so awesome and fun and we have been working really great together.  But we will see what the future holds!😄

Another thing that happened was I got the second dose of the Covid vaccine so I'm happy about that!  Something else I was super happy about is that I didn't feel bad after the vaccine if anything I had more energy the next day haha, Who knows what they put in me😳 also side note a nurse there may have fallen in love with me😳😳

I hope you all had the chance to watch general conference!  If you didn't go watch it!  I loved it so so much!  I know those men know our Savior.  I am so incredibly and eternally grateful to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ.  And to have the guidance of a prophet in this time.  I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have the opportunity to share this joy and peace with the wonderful people of Oaxaca.  I love it!

Some other fun things we did this week is we made some Churros which were pretty great im not going to lie 😎 and today we are going to make some again and play some games!  We are pretty excited!

I would also like to testify of the power of prayer!  It is truly such a gift to be able to talk with our Father in Heaven!  I would like to invite you to try and pray to our Heavenly father in the name of Jesus Christ every day this week, if you already pray everyday I invite you to have more meaningful and spirit felt prayer.  I promise that if you do this you will feel thr love of God and have more peace and joy in your life!  Let me know how it goes next week!

Love you all!
