El pan!

Hello Everyone!!  I'm in my new area and I love it so much!  My area is called El Tule.  ALSO THIS AREA HAS THE THICKEST TREE IN THE WORLD SO THATS PRETTY AWESOME.  Everyone here is so nice and the food is SO good.  I love this area!

My new companion is Elder Hernandez and he is awesome!  He's from Tamaulipas Matamoros.   It's been fun gettimg to know him and walking around everywhere! 

There are so many animals around here.  I've hung out with some horses and with some sheep.  This one dog followed us for like and hour and when we knocked in people's doors he would try and go in their houses 

The members here are so awesome as well!  There is so much work here and im.so grateful for the opportunity to be here and share the gospel!  The gospel truly changes people's lives and i am so happy i get to see that!

Also a funny story, I got really hungry and was craving some bread.  BUT FOR SOME REASON all of the bakeries were closed.  BUT after searching for a bit we found a bakery and the owners happend to be members who haven't come to church in awhile!  But we were able to talk to them and they came to church this sunday!  Also they gave us bread so that was a big plus as well hahaha

Hello everyone!!  I hope you all had an amazing week!  This week was pretty great!

Well first off some exciting news, I got a call yesterday night that I will be training a new missionary next transfer!!  I am so excited!  In a few hours I will be leaving on a bus to the city because we have a meeting for the new trainers tomorrow so I'm super excited for that!  I'm going with Elder Mera because he is training too so it will be a lot of fun!  I'm feel very appreciative for this opportunity to learn and grow!

Yesterday I gave a talk in church and I've figured out I speak better Spanish when I just talk instead of reading so I didn't write anything down but I prepared some scriptures and I feel like it went well so yay!  I've never done that in English so there we go

Speaking of English I have noticed I have become increasingly worse in English as the weeks go by.  I'm glad my phone has spellcheck because I'm pretty sure these emails would be illegible without it hahaha.  

My talk yesterday in church was about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  I absolutely love this subject!  It is such an absolutely incredible fact that we have a Savior!  Thanks to him we are not eternally stuck and frustrated but we can grow and progress!  How amazing is that!?  There is so much we can be grateful for because of our Savior so this week I would like to invite you to take some time and give some prayers of gratitude for our Savior!  I promise that if you do this you will find more joy in your life and your relationship with your Savior Jesus Christ with grow!

I noticed I haven't really taken any pictures this week but I'll be sure to take some right now because we are about to play soccer.

Fun Week!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing so well!  This week was so awesome and I learned so much!

First off we went to zone conference which was a lot of fun!  We went to Huatulco so we got to travel a little bit.  I ALSO GOT TO SEE ELDER PANO WOOOO!

I learned so much at zone conference.  Something really cool that we are going to start doing as a mission is a fast every day.  So at least one area in the mission will be fasting every day and the next group will start as the others finish!  We also talked alot about being responsible for the things we should be responsible for.  I think this is something that is so true.  Everyone in this world has responsibilities and we should always try our best to fulfill our purpose in this and I know we will have so much joy!

Also another fun thing we did this week is we went to this school of teenagers where they live at the school.  A lot of them are far from home so the owner of the school wanted us to talk to them because we are far from our families as well.  It was really awesome to talk with them and share about the gospel as well!

I'm so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ!  Because of him we can find joy and every injustice in this life will be righted in the next life.  I love him!

Buenos días Amigos y Familia! 

 I hope you all had such a great week! Well something fun that happened this week was on Tuesday my stomach started hurting and I would make frequent trips to the bathroom haha. So that took me out for a few days. Luckily all the members here are so awesome and they took so much care of me and so now I'm all good! 

 A pretty cool experience with that though is one of the members is a doctor that actually grew up in Utah so she helped me out a ton and gave me some medicine. After she finished helping me out she asked if I could give her a blessing because she had a really rough day at work. To tell you the truth, giving that blessing made me feel so much better! I know it is because when we are focused only on ourselves and feeling bad for ourselves it is hard to feel joy. But when we serve others so much joy can enter our lives! How incredible, right?😄 

 Since I was pretty dead for a few days we didn't do very much missionary work which was a bummer, but it helped me realize how much I love missionary work! Once I started feeling better it felt so good to teach again, I love being a missionary! 

 OK so I have really been loving Spanish lately! It is so much fun that I can be myself and make friends. BUT there has been this one subject of Spanish that has been so confusing for me BUT POR FIN I figured it out and it clicked. It was actually just because I hadn't really tried studying it that hard before because as many of you may know I'm not the best studier in the world but I'm getting a lot better at it now haha! 

 A funny story that happened this week is that my companion got bit by an iguana! OK that sounds bad it wouldn't be funny if he got hurt but it just bit his shoe hahaha. We took a picture with it and right after it came at us and bit his shoe. It was pretty terrifying for a second not gonna lie. We've been playing soccer every pday for the past couple of weeks and I'm still pretty bad but maybe i'll be better by the end of my mission. 

 Well to finish I would like to extend an invitation! I want to invite you to find the things in your life that bring you true joy, and then to do those things more often! I promise you will have so much more light and happiness in your life! If you want help finding what brings you joy in your life here is a quote from President Nelson, "The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our life and everything to do with the purpose of our life."
