Hi friends!
This was an absolutely incredible week! I learned a lot and I am extremely grateful for it!
Today we are going to Monte Alban which I have waited my whole mission to be allowed to go, so I am super excited! Monte Alban are ancient ruins where the Zapoteco people lived. I'm writing this before hand but I'll write how it went and send pictures below!
This transfer has been a little rough to be honest. We haven't had much success and the area has been hard. But I had a few experiences this week that truly helped me to see things clearly.
We visited a family and their son is a member and he went on a mission. But no one else in his family are members the church. They have never been interested. But now the father has a disease and his partly paralyzed. He can't walk very well and is usually in a wheelchair. We invited them to church and the mom wanted to go but the dad said no because he couldn't walk. We talked to them for awhile and promised we would help them do anything to help them get to church even if we had to carry him. We also promised them blessing of coming to church. Then my companion shared a scripture and it truly changed my heart and I felt the spirit so strongly.
This is in Acts chapter 3
1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
I absolutely love this miracle. Something I think is so important is that he went there daily. Every day he went to the temple I believe hoping for a miracle. He went daily every day for who knows how long. And then one day he was healed in the name of Christ. How incredibly touching is that? I don't know why he had to wait that long. But I do now that God loves that man just like he loves everyone of us. Please remember that and even if it feels like you've been waiting for your miracle for thousands of days. Miracles always come to the faithful.
After that scripture we helped the father walk a bit and he finally said yes to coming to church.
We took him to church and we did end up literally carrying him for some parts. And it was a very spiritual experience for me. I love this gospel!
Another thing I love about the gospel is the Book of Mormón! I cannot count how many times I have read a scripture from the book of Mormon who I have shared one with someone else and I felt or they felt so much comfort and it was exactly what we needed to hear! That is plenty of evidence for me that it is a book that comes from God! But that's just my humble opinion
Side note that is not spiritual but pretty funny is that my pants ripped yesterday

Another side note is that we just finished getting back from monte Alban and we all squeezed in a taxi and my leg lost all circulation and when i got out of the taxi I couldn't feel my leg at all and I was falling and tripping all over the place and it was pretty funny.
Also Monte Alban was super cool! I obviously made lots of Nephite jokes
